Hot Potato | Bomb Minigame

Welcome to Hot Potato, a fast, frantic, and hilarious party minigame for Minecraft Bedrock. The rules are simple, but the chaos is endless: there is one potato, it is burning hot, and the clock is ticking. Whoever is holding it when the timer runs out goes up in smoke.

The potato is passed by hitting another player. The moment you land that hit, the heat is theirs and you can finally breathe again. Of course, they will be looking for someone to pass it to just as desperately as you were. Every second the fuse gets shorter, every corner becomes a trap, and every player turns into either a hunter or prey. When the timer hits zero the potato explodes, the unlucky holder is eliminated, and the next round begins with one player fewer. The last survivor standing is crowned the Hot Potato champion.

What makes this map special is its variety. Instead of repeating the same arena over and over, Hot Potato features 7 completely different arenas, each with its own look, layout, and playstyle.

You begin in a lobby set in a peaceful pine forest, with dirt paths crossing at the center and a wooden gate leading to the Start sign. Don't let the calm fool you, because the arenas ahead are anything but relaxed.

Bridge

Two grassy islands float in the sky, connected only by a narrow wooden bridge. Every step is a gamble, and one bad knockback can send you straight into the void.

Ice

A snowy circular bowl with a frozen floor and ice pillars scattered across it. The pillars give you cover, but they also create plenty of ambush spots, so use them wisely.

Arena

A square stage framed with gold and marked with a flaming potato emblem at its center. Glowing lava pits burn in all four corners, so even a small mistake can end your game early.

Desert

A sandy square packed with cacti, with a raised sandstone platform in the middle. Fighting for the high ground while avoiding the prickly cacti makes every hit count.

Mud

A gloomy arena with a dark, muddy floor and logs sticking out in every direction. The uneven layout is perfect for hiding, sneaking, and last-second escapes.

House

An open grassy clearing with a big wooden barn and thick spruce trees all around. There is plenty of room to run, and plenty of corners to get trapped in.

Wall

A wide, clean wool floor split by a stone wall down the middle. With almost no cover, everything comes down to speed, reflexes, and quick decisions.

Whether you are playing with a few friends or a full lobby, every match feels different thanks to the arena variety. Short rounds keep the action fast, and the explosive finish keeps everyone laughing, screaming, and begging for one more game. It is easy to pick up, hard to put down, and perfect for streams, videos, and chaotic nights with friends.

How to Play

Load into the world and follow the path to the Start sign.

When the round begins, one player is given the hot potato.

Hit another player to pass the potato to them.

When the timer runs out, the potato explodes and its holder is eliminated.

Survive every round to become the last one standing!
