Night after night, ghouls claw through the boarded windows of a walled village. Hold Sneak at a broken window to nail the planks back, and fight with whatever you can afford.
Every hit and kill earns embers. Spend them on gates that open new districts, on weapon racks, blessing shrines and a cursed chest that hands out a random relic.
From wave 5, light the four soul braziers hidden in the graveyard, the market, the mill and the crypt. When all four burn, the Bell Tower opens and the Hollow Warden awakens.
Old Wick, a friendly lamplighter ghost, waits in the chapel to tell the story and what to do next. A line above the hotbar always shows the current goal, and an Easy mode is there for young players.
