A question arrives every few minutes, and both of its answers give you something and take something away.

A question opens in the middle of your game.
It offers two bargains. Each one hands you something and takes something else away, so the choice is never between good and bad. Take night vision and you go blind for twenty seconds. Take invisibility and you feel sick for half a minute. The pack writes both sides of the bargain out before you answer, so you know what you are agreeing to.
Let the timer run out and the curse comes to you on its own. You get nausea, and at the higher tiers blindness and weakness come with it.
The tier goes up every three questions you answer. The first tier is small change: a few items, a short effect. The third tier hands out netherite and takes up to five hearts of your health.
Some prices are not a status effect. They are rules, and they hold for a while:
Each rule lifts on its own, and the pack tells you when it does.
Everything is adjustable while you play:
/scriptevent pyc:interval <seconds> time between two questions (30-3600) /scriptevent pyc:answer <seconds> time to answer (5-120) /scriptevent pyc:maxrounds <n> questions a player gets, 0 is endless /scriptevent pyc:on let the questions come /scriptevent pyc:off stop the questions /scriptevent pyc:ask ask a question right now /scriptevent pyc:status the current settings /scriptevent pyc:help every commandThe commands need Cheats switched on in the world settings. The questions do not.
The pack only touches the player who is answering. Nothing in the world changes and no other player is affected.
The curses cost you health and hunger, so try it on a world you care about before you try it on one you do not. A question that runs out costs you the same way an answered one does, and you had no say in it. One command stops the questions for good.
It needs Minecraft 1.26.10 or newer, because that is where the script API events the curses are built on came in. There is no experimental toggle to switch on.
The icon was made with an AI image generator. It shows the effect in a stylised way, the game itself looks like the screenshots in the gallery.
