Gaveon – The Sift

Open a portal to The Sift: a brand-new dimension of towering cliffs, hidden ravines, living ichor pools and glowing soul-stone meadows, with its own blocks, creatures, boss and gear.

🌀 Entering The Sift: the Sound Portal

There is no flint and steel here. The portal answers to music.

1. Build a frame of Reinforced Deepslate (min. 2×3, up to 48 blocks across) around an empty space, or try one on an Ancient City!
2. Craft Echo Deepslate (8 Echo Shards around 1 Deepslate) and place a row of 8 Note Blocks on top of them, next to the portal. They turn into Sonorous Note Blocks.
3. Tune each one to the right note, in the right order. Colored Note Beams shoot up into the sky as you get it right, and the portal wakes up with a melody.
4. Stand inside the portal for a couple of seconds and the screen blinks teal as you cross over.

Coming back? The Sift has its own frame made of Reinforced Siftslate. Portals in both dimensions are linked and reused.

🆕 Your first crossing is now much faster, and you always arrive on a flat, safe spot.

🌍 A Dimension of Terraces and Cliffs

The Sift is now a terraced steppe world: wide flat terraces separated by sheer cliffs, joined by carved ramps, cliff-ledge trails, land bridges and cross tunnels. Look for:

• River ravines with jagged comb-tooth banks, sudden pinch points you can walk across, and ichor on the floor
• Foot ravines that open between two terraces of different heights
• Tiered ravines and four-storey cave systems under the high plateaus
• Ichor pools with irregular outlines, rock islands you can hop across, terraced shelves and a brown thallite shore
• Sculk patches, giant fossils, tall White Willows and small white willows

Biomes

Biome What you'll find Meadow The main biome. Green Mossoe ground, orange grass clumps, Soul Stone patches, white willows and small willows. Blushland Pink grass and Rose Bristle on high plateaus (world Y 60–80), with tiered ravines and caves below. Carapace A desert of Sift Sand and teal Sandstone, with giant fossils (skulls, ribcages, spines and tusks). Soul Meadow A damp, cold meadow of Mossoe mixed with Soul Stone, with sculk patches.

Deep underground, rock turns into Soul Stone Forlorn, with Siftslate pockets (Iron and Gold ore) and Siftite Ore hidden right under the thallite lining of ichor pools.

Find your way

Use the built-in command (no cheats needed):

/sift:getlocate <name>

• Biomes: meadow, blushland, carapace, soul_meadow
• Structures: portal, white_willow, small_willow, fossil, pool, sculk_patch
• /sift:getlocate list shows every name in chat.

Shortcuts: /sift:gosift and /sift:gohome take you in and out without a portal.

⚒️ New Blocks and Building Sets

• Soul Stones: Brimming, Waning, Faint and Forlorn, each in its own colour ramp
• Thallite, Cobblethall, Mossy Cobblethall, Red Moss and Mossoe
• Siftslate family: Bricks, Tiles, Pillar, plus slabs, stairs and walls
• Pale and Willow wood sets: planks, fences, slabs, stairs, saplings, sticks, crafting tables and wooden tools
• Slabs, stairs and walls for Cinderrock, Rimestone, Thallite and Cobblethall
• Lots of new plants: tall teal grass, tall rose bristle, dry tufts, ember grass, small flowers, cleaver plants, soul bubble flowers, carapace grass and flowers, wall leaves and hanging vines

Leaves and grass drop only with shears and stone blocks need a pickaxe. Plants and vines break when their support is gone, and leaves fall when a tree loses its logs.

💠 Siftite, Soul Essence and Soulium

1. Mine Siftite Ore under ichor pools (obsidian-hard, diamond pickaxe required) and smelt the Raw Siftite.
2. Scoop up Ichor with a bucket and combine it with Lapis to make Soul Essence. You get the bucket back.
3. Combine 4 Siftite Ingots 4 Soul Essence into a Soulium Ingot.
4. Upgrade diamond gear at a smithing table with the Soulium Upgrade Smithing Template: sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe and a full armor set (netherite-level stats).

The template is dropped by the Monarch. You can duplicate it with a Soulium Ingot and Siftslate.

🗿 Echo Golems, Singers and Souls

Deep in this world live the Echo Golems, ancient stone guardians powered by Soul Blocks.

• Singers wake dormant golems with a soul, in an animated ritual.
• Awakened golems dance in sync with nearby golems and show damage as their health drops.
• Golems are peaceful toward players. Against hostile mobs they sing a sound wave that damages everything it passes through.
• Right-click a golem to take its soul: it walks to the nearest spot and settles into an Echo Golem Statue (also in Creative).

🐾 24 Creatures

Friendly and neutral: Blub, Nuzzle (drops leather), Pollinator (drops honeycomb), Seedling (drops seeds), Tuner, Prickle, Slabber (can be milked), Lootkin (shy, drops gold nuggets and more), Bloombud, Fusefly, Wobble, Trill (flying), Roamroot, Nester, Sentinel, Echo Golem and Singer.

Hostile: Dartback, Scavenger, Stalker, Hurler, Harmonizer, Sprout and the boss Monarch.

• Most creatures now spawn naturally in the Meadow, Soul Meadow, Blushland and Carapace. Singers are very rare and always arrive with a few Echo Golems.
• Scavenger, Stalker, Hurler, Harmonizer, Sprout and Monarch do not spawn naturally yet. Use their spawn eggs in Creative.
• The Monarch (180 HP) drops the Soulium Upgrade Smithing Template. 🚧 The Monarch's battle arena and fighting animations are still in development.

Nuzzles, Pollinators, Seedlings and Tuners can be tempted with wheat.

📦 Installation

1. Download the .mcaddon file and open it. Minecraft will import both packs automatically.
2. Create a new test world and activate both the Behavior Pack and the Resource Pack.
3. Make sure you're on Minecraft Bedrock 26.50 or newer.
4. Build the portal and have fun!

Requirements: Minecraft Bedrock Edition 26.50 or newer.

⚠️ Worlds created with older versions (such as v0.9.9) will have different terrain in newly generated chunks. Start a fresh test world.
