Every height of the world is made of one block, and every height has a block of its own.

Dig down and you pass through bedrock, then deepslate, then andesite, then diorite, one height at a time.
Every height of the world is made of one block, and every height has a block of its own. The blocks do not change from place to place, so the same height is the same block everywhere in the world. A hill at one end of the map and a hill at the other end are cut from the same stone.
Air stays air. Nothing else is left.
The blocks come in groups of eight, and a group covers eight heights. The groups repeat as the world goes up, so a mountain at y 200 is made of the same blocks as the ground at y 8.
The blocks are picked at random, so every world gets its own set of layers.
The overworld around you is covered. There is no normal stone left to dig through, only layers.
The surface still works the way you expect. Villages, ruins and other structures generate where they always did, and the mobs come as they always do. The sea keeps its water, and the spawners and the end portal frames are left alone so the game can still be finished.
The add-on does not touch your inventory, your health or the other players. It changes what the world is made of.
Everything is adjustable while you play:
/scriptevent rlayers:radius <n> chunks around you that get the layers (1-12) /scriptevent rlayers:ymin <n> the lowest height that gets a layer /scriptevent rlayers:ymax <n> the highest height that gets a layer /scriptevent rlayers:reroll new blocks for every height /scriptevent rlayers:refresh lay the layers down again around you /scriptevent rlayers:on|off lay the layers down or stop /scriptevent rlayers:status the current settings /scriptevent rlayers:help every commandThe commands need Cheats switched on in the world settings. The layers do not.
Open a world and look at the side of a hill, or dig down. The layers are written into the ground around you, so the far end of the world is still the way it was.
It needs Minecraft 1.21.120 or newer. There is no experimental toggle to switch on.
This is a Bedrock Edition version of the Java Edition mod "Random Block Layers" by cjcameron92, which is published under CC0 1.0 Universal:
https://modrinth.com/mod/random-block-layers
The Java mod hooks into the world generator directly, which an add-on for Bedrock is not allowed to do. This version writes the layers into the ground after the game has made it, so the layers are the same everywhere but the world generator does not know about them.
