XUID Lookup

Type a gamertag to get its XUID, or paste an XUID to see whose it is. Copy it as a number, in hex, or as the Floodgate UUID for Geyser servers.

How it works

Where the answer comes from

We ask Xbox Live for the profile through OpenXBL, a service that reads public Xbox profiles. If Xbox doesn’t answer, we check GeyserMC’s list of Bedrock players who joined a Geyser server, and say so on the result. That list can still show an old gamertag for a player who has changed theirs.

The three forms

  • XUID: the decimal number, e.g. 2535414915229641. Bedrock server files (allowlist.json, permissions.json) use this.
  • Hex: the same number in base 16, padded to 16 digits. Some plugins and logs print it this way.
  • Floodgate UUID: 00000000-0000-0000- followed by the hex XUID, the UUID a Bedrock player gets on a Java server through Floodgate.

Finding your own XUID

Sign in on account.xbox.com to see your gamertag, then look it up here. On a Bedrock server you run, the XUID is also printed in the console when you join.

FAQ

What is an XUID?

The Xbox User ID: a number, usually 16 digits, that Xbox Live gives every account. Unlike your gamertag it never changes, so Bedrock servers, realms tools and anti-cheat plugins use it to recognise players.

Why would I need my XUID?

Server owners use it for whitelists, bans and permissions (a gamertag change can't dodge an XUID ban). Bedrock Dedicated Server's allowlist.json and permissions.json take it, and GeyserMC/Floodgate turn it into the UUID a Bedrock player gets on a Java server.

What is the Floodgate UUID?

Floodgate (part of GeyserMC) gives each Bedrock player a Java-style UUID built from their XUID: zeros in the first half and the XUID in hex in the second. Use it in Java server plugins that need a player's UUID, such as LuckPerms.

Can I look up someone who changed their gamertag?

Yes. The XUID stays the same, so looking up the XUID shows their current gamertag. Looking up an old gamertag finds whoever uses it now, or nobody.

Is it private?

Gamertags, XUIDs and gamer pictures are public on Xbox Live. We don't log what you search; answers are cached for a few hours so the same look-up doesn't hit Xbox again.
