How to use the Ruined Portal Finder
Ruined portals are the quickest way into the Nether: repair the frame with obsidian from the chest and light it. This finder shows Overworld portals, and switches to the Nether dimension to show Nether-side portals.
- Type or paste your seed in the seed box (numbers and text seeds both work), then pick your edition and version.
- Ruined portals are marked on the map automatically. Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, and hover an icon to see its coordinates.
- Click an icon to copy the coordinates or a ready-made /tp command, and tick "Completed" to keep track of the ones you have visited.
- Use the "Nearest" list in the sidebar to jump straight to the closest ones to spawn or to any X/Z you enter.
Questions
Are ruined portals underground?
Some are. The popup marks portals that generate buried or as giant variants when the engine can determine it.
Is the portal chest always there?
The chest is not guaranteed and can be buried nearby. Look for the netherrack and lava patch around the frame.
