Light up your adventures without constantly placing torches! Dynamic Lighting enhances your Minecraft Bedrock survival experience by allowing supported light sources to illuminate the area around you as you carry them.

Explore dark caves, travel through dangerous environments, and survive the night while keeping a light source close at hand.

Dynamic Lighting: Carry supported light sources to illuminate your surroundings.

Off-Hand Transfer: Use a supported light-source item to move it into your off-hand through the add-on's transfer system.

Vanilla Light Sources: Supports selected vanilla torches, including regular torches, soul torches, redstone torches, and copper torches where available.

Custom Light Sources: Supports compatible items configured with the rdl:light_source component.

🕹️ How to Use

Install and enable the behavior pack in your Minecraft Bedrock world.

  1. Hold a supported light-source item.

  2. Use the item away from blocks to trigger the off-hand transfer.

  3. Check your off-hand and explore with dynamic lighting enabled.

The transfer requires a suitable off-hand slot and depends on the item's compatibility with the add-on.

Update – Off-Hand Support

Added

Added an off-hand transfer system for supported light-source items.

Added recognition for selected vanilla light sources, including regular torches, soul torches, redstone torches, and copper torches where available.

Notes

Off-hand transfer requires a compatible light source and a suitable off-hand slot.

How to install

  1. Download the file below. On iOS or Android, open it from your Downloads with Minecraft; on Windows, double-click it.
  2. Minecraft imports the pack automatically. Enable it in your world’s settings under Behavior Packs or Resource Packs; an add-on usually needs both.
  3. Playing on a Realm or server? Everyone needs the same packs, and the host has to enable them.
  4. Starting a new world? Choose its seed first: the Seed Map shows villages, structures and biomes near spawn for any Bedrock seed.
