Glass Shields: Yours & Others

Turns shields into glass, so a raised shield no longer hides what is in front of you.

Two packs in one download

Opening the .mcaddon installs two packs.

Glass Shield: Yours. The main pack. Changes your own shield in first person.

Glass Shield: Others. Changes the shields you see other players and mobs holding. Turning it on adds Yours automatically.

How to use

Only your shield: turn on Yours.

Both: turn on Others too, and pick a look in each one's settings. They can look different, for example clear glass for yours and red stained glass for others.

Only other players' shields: turn on both and set Yours to Normal shield.

19 choices

Normal shield (no glass). This one is at the top of the list.

Glass: frame only, half see-through, faint tint.

Stained glass: white, light blue, blue, purple, red, yellow, green, black.

Art: diamond mosaic, red cross, blue stripes, creeper, rainbow, sky fade.

Glass (recommended). This is the last one in the list, so it is selected automatically.

Notes

Resource pack only. No behaviour pack, no scripts, no commands. Achievements are unaffected.

This only changes how shields look. Blocking, durability and hit detection are exactly the same as vanilla.

Banner patterns are not shown on the shield while this pack is active. The game draws them with a solid material, so they cannot show through glass.

Clear Shield (my other pack) changes the same shield files. If both are on, the one higher in the list wins. Nothing breaks, just use the one you like.

Important: Minecraft updates can change how shields are drawn. If the shield looks wrong after an update, check for a new version of this pack.

The pack names and descriptions are translated into all 29 languages Minecraft offers. All looks work on every device, including phones and tablets.

Installation

Download the .mcaddon and open it. Both packs are installed at once. Enable Yours (and Others if you want) under Global Resources in settings, then pick a look from the dropdown.

If the .mcaddon does not open on your device, download the two .mcpack files from Additional Files instead.

盾をガラスにして、構えても前が見えるようにします。

.mcaddon を開くと、2つのパックが入ります。

ガラスの盾：自分の盾。メインのパックです。一人称で見た自分の盾を変えます。

ガラスの盾：相手の盾。他のプレイヤーやモブが持っている盾を変えます。有効にすると「自分の盾」も自動で入ります。

使い方

自分の盾だけ：「自分の盾」を有効にします。

両方：「相手の盾」も有効にして、それぞれの設定（歯車）で見た目を選びます。自分は透明なガラス、相手は赤い色ガラス、のように別々にできます。

相手の盾だけ：両方を有効にして、「自分の盾」を「普通の盾」にします。

全19種類

普通の盾（ガラスにしない）。リストの一番上です。

ガラス：枠だけ、半透明、うっすら色付き。

色ガラス：白、水色、青、紫、赤、黄、緑、黒。

模様：ひし形モザイク、赤い十字、青の斜めしま、クリーパー、虹、空のグラデーション。

ガラス（おすすめ）。リストの一番下なので、最初からこれが選ばれています。

注意

リソースパックだけです。ビヘイビアーパック・スクリプト・コマンドは入っていません。実績は無効になりません。

変わるのは見た目だけです。防御・耐久値・当たり判定はバニラと同じです。

このパックを入れている間、盾の旗の模様は表示されません。ゲームが模様を不透明な材質で描くので、ガラスの中に透かせないためです。

透ける盾（Clear Shield、私の別のパック）は同じ盾のファイルを変えます。両方を有効にすると、リストで上にある方が使われます。壊れることはないので、好きな方を使ってください。

重要：Minecraft のアップデートで盾の描き方が変わると、表示がおかしくなることがあります。そのときは、新しい版が出ていないか確認してください。

パック名と説明は、Minecraft で選べる全29言語に翻訳しています。スマホやタブレットを含むどの端末でも、すべての見た目が使えます。

入れ方

.mcaddon をダウンロードして開きます。2つのパックが一度に入ります。設定の「グローバルリソース」で「自分の盾」（必要なら「相手の盾」も）を有効にして、ドロップダウンで見た目を選びます。

.mcaddon が開けない端末では、「追加ファイル」から .mcpack を2つダウンロードしてください。
