Written by xVoid_Kittyx for the MCPEDL post, shown as published.
Inspired by Mahoraga's Divine General from Jujutsu Kaisen. Whatever hurts you once, will never hurt you the same way again.
Wheel of Adaptation adds two items: a wheel that makes you adapt to the damage you take, and a sword that hits undead hard and can purify them. Both come with custom 3D models, animations, particles, sounds and a HUD.
This mod supports version 26.40
SpoilerFor the next update (v1.2.0) I'm working on letting the wheel adapt to the world itself, not just mobs. Once you're adapted you'll be able to breathe and swim faster underwater, walk through lava at normal speed, stop getting pushed by currents, move through cobwebs, berry bushes, honey and soul sand without slowing down, and even walk on top of powder snow.
I'm also trying to make full adaptation feel more like the manga: attacks will still hit you, but they won't do any damage or knock you back.
And since a lot of you aren't English speakers, the mod will follow your game language, starting with Indonesian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese (plus English and Japanese).
Some of this is still being tested, so things might change. Since I'm working on this mod alone, the update might take some time. Thanks for all the support!
☸ Wheel of Adaptation
Worn on your head, the wheel floats above you and watches everything that hurts you.
- Adapts to damage. Mobs, projectiles, environmental damage (fire, lava and so on) and harmful effects each count as a separate phenomenon.
- Adaptation happens in stages. Each time you are hit enough by the same source, the wheel turns one handle. Every turn reduces the damage from that source and heals you a little.
- Full adaptation. When the wheel completes its turn, that damage is nullified entirely and you get a special animation, sound and effect. Harmful effects that are fully adapted get removed too.
- Offensive bonus. The more you have adapted to a mob, the more damage you deal to it (up to 50%).
- Progress HUD. A panel shows which phenomenon you are adapting to, how far along you are and how many you have adapted.
- Death resets everything. Your adaptations are lost when you die.
- Progress is saved between sessions.

⚔ Sword of Extermination
A holy blade for hunting the undead.
- Undead take 1.75× damage.
- Purification. Undead at or below 20% health are purified instantly, and you heal a little. The Wither is immune.
- Zombie villagers are cured instead of killed.
- Right-click: Positive Slash. It fires a piercing energy wave up to 12 blocks that damages mobs (extra strong against undead) and cuts through blocks (up to 32 blocks). It has a 7-second cooldown.
- Cutting rules. Bedrock, command blocks and other technical blocks can't be cut. Containers are safe. Slash block-cutting is disabled in Adventure and Spectator mode.

What’s new in the latest update
The author’s notes for the file uploaded .
- Heal on every spin. Each turn of the wheel heals part of your missing health (half at first, a little more with every adaptation you complete), and completing an adaptation heals you fully, like Mahoraga vs Sukuna.
- Stronger healing factor. Passive regeneration grows with your adaptation level: 1 adaptation gives +1 HP every 4 seconds, and at 20 adaptations you regenerate +2 HP every second.
- Adaptation tiers. Stronger phenomena take more spins: plain physical attacks need 3 spins, effects and magic 5, elite mobs (vindicator, ravager, piglin brute…) 6, and bosses (Warden, Wither, Ender Dragon) 8.
- Related adaptation. Adapting to one member of a family also prepares you for its kin: zombies → husks, drowned and zombie villagers; skeletons → strays, bogged and parched; TNT → creepers and other explosions; fire → soul fire, campfires and lava.
- Faster when hit often. A hit from the same attack within 2 seconds of the previous one counts as 1.5 hits, so being swarmed makes the wheel turn sooner. Leftover hits carry over to the next spin.
- Damage bonus per adaptation. Every completed adaptation adds +1% to your damage, up to +25% at 25 adaptations. No potion effect icon. It stacks with the existing bonus against mobs you have adapted to.
- One source, one phenomenon. Damage that used to share one adaptation is now split by its real source, each with its own name: fire, soul fire, burning, campfire and soul campfire; creeper, charged creeper, TNT, end crystal, bed/respawn anchor, ghast fireball, Wither and wither skull explosions; fireworks per shooter and your own elytra boost; fall vs flying into a wall; anvil, falling block and piston; falling stalactite vs stalagmite; cactus vs sweet berry bush; Thorns vs guardian spikes; magma block vs sulfur cube.
- Fully adapted attacks no longer apply their effects. Once you are adapted to stray arrows, they no longer slow you, and they cannot refresh a Slowness you already have.
- Status effects adapt one by one, and Warden's sonic boom adapts faster (2 hits per spin instead of 3).
- Supports parched, camel husk, zombie nautilus, and spears.
- The wheel must stay on your head. Take it off and everything it gave you resets to zero.
- Fixed the evoker not using its own adaptation settings.
- Fixed armed mobs being adapted per mob instead of per weapon. Sword, axe, spear, trident, mace and other weapons are now adapted by weapon type, shared by every mob that holds them.
Note: because of the split above, adaptations to fire, explosions, fall damage, crushing, stalactites, cactus/berries, thorns and magma from v1.0.0 reset once when you update. All other adaptations are kept.
How to install
- Download the file below. On iOS or Android, open it from your Downloads with Minecraft; on Windows, double-click it.
- Minecraft imports the pack automatically. Enable it in your world’s settings under Behavior Packs or Resource Packs; an add-on usually needs both.
- Playing on a Realm or server? Everyone needs the same packs, and the host has to enable them.
- Starting a new world? Choose its seed first: the Seed Map shows villages, structures and biomes near spawn for any Bedrock seed.
