🎃 Haunted Harvest — Halloween Horror
Blood Moon invasions • Cursed villagers • Night predators • A ritual boss
The village is no longer safe. The sun sinks behind the fields. A familiar villager begins to shake. A howl rises beyond the houses—and the thing standing beside you is no longer human.
Listen for heavy footsteps. Watch the pale resident at the edge of the village. If laughter carries through the fog, the harvest has already turned against you.
Haunted Harvest brings a Halloween survival experience to Minecraft Bedrock: transforming village residents, hostile creatures, sinister sound effects, Blood Moon assaults, resource drops, craftable equipment and a ritual boss.

🔥 What waits in the darkness?
- A village with secrets: special residents reveal monstrous forms after nightfall.
- Predators with distinct identities: a fast werewolf, a life-stealing vampire and a slow machete-carrying stalker.
- A Blood Moon survival event: ambience, fog, spirits and creatures approaching the villagers.
- A reason to fight back: collect monster materials, craft useful equipment and prepare the Pumpkin King ritual.
🌙 Two villagers. Two terrible secrets.
Groups of at least three nearby vanilla villagers may attract two special residents. These residents are added alongside the existing villagers; your original villagers are not replaced.
- Cursed Villager: a scarred resident in a green robe. At night, an eight-second sequence of pain cries and shaking reveals its werewolf form. At dawn, it returns to human form.
- Pale Villager: a suspicious resident in a plum robe. Its three-second night transformation reveals a vampire that restores 2 health points with successful melee hits.
Transformations preserve the resident's position, name and health. These special villagers do not have trading menus in this Alpha.
🐺 Predators after dark
Werewolf: a fast pursuer with sharp stained fangs, curved claws and a separate emissive eye layer. It reacts with a rage pose when it detects a visible nearby survival player, villager or iron golem. Idle nighttime howls lift its head toward the approximate lunar direction. Howl audio is configured for a maximum distance of 96 blocks; actual audibility depends on the game, distance and loaded areas.
Vampire: a pale, cloaked hunter with whispers, hostile hisses and life-stealing melee hits. Its fangs become a crafting resource when defeated.
Jason: a large, slow stalker carrying a machete. An original, finite horror cue plays for nearby listeners. One cooldown per player keeps multiple nearby Jasons from stacking the cue.
👻 Meet the haunted harvest
- Living Pumpkin: a hostile walking pumpkin that supplies Halloween Candy.
- Cursed Scarecrow: a weathered, stitched creature with amber emissive eyes. Defeat it for Cursed Straw.
- Restless Spirit: a flying enemy that supplies Ectoplasm. It has collision and cannot pass through walls.
- Nightmare Clown: a sinister event creature with a ruffled collar, burgundy costume and macabre laughter. It may appear during Blood Moon encounters and village assaults.
- Halloween Bat: an ambient flying creature. It has no attack AI and no drops.
🩸 The Blood Moon event
The event is scheduled every four in-game days, beginning with the first scheduled night. In loaded Overworld areas, it adds ominous ambience, command-driven fog, dedicated spirit waves and village assaults. Pumpkins, scarecrows, vampires and spirits can approach villagers; Jason or a Nightmare Clown may also join.
The red moon texture is a permanent visual theme. A red moon by itself does not mean an invasion is active. The event's title, ambience, fog and increased encounters follow the Blood Moon schedule.
Spawning checks suitable ground and local population limits. Walls, iron doors and terrain can obstruct attackers. The event does not affect the Nether or the End.
Explore the harvest: small abandoned shacks may appear on suitable flat, empty natural ground as you travel. A scarecrow guards a chest containing 4 Halloween Candies, 2 Cursed Straw and 1 Ectoplasm. A quiet-looking shack can be the start of your crafting progression.
💀 A boss worth awakening
The Pumpkin King has 320 base health, a boss bar, warned root bursts and cursed-seed projectiles. Move away from the warning positions before the roots burst. Below half health, it becomes faster, attacks more often and can summon Living Pumpkins.
- At night, find open natural ground.
- Place a Carved Pumpkin or Jack o'Lantern.
- Place four Soul Torches at its diagonal neighbors, at the same block height.
- Use a Harvest Sigil on the pumpkin.
The ritual consumes one sigil outside Creative. It needs a valid spawn position and sufficient population space; an existing Pumpkin King nearby can prevent another summoning. The pumpkin and torches remain in place.
Boss rewards: Pumpkin King Trophy, Harvest Sigil and Halloween Candy. The trophy is collectible; it is not wearable armor.
🍬 Turn the nightmare into equipment
Collect Halloween Candy, Werewolf Fangs, Vampire Fangs, Mask Fragments, Cursed Straw and Ectoplasm to progress through the crafting recipes.
- Halloween Candy: food that grants Speed I for 10 seconds.
- Moon Candy: craft two at a time; grants Night Vision for 45 seconds and Resistance I for 10 seconds.
- Moonfang Blade: adds 8 attack damage to the player's base damage, has 450 durability and briefly slows Halloween hostiles on melee hits.
- Harvest Ward: a luminous placed block that repels and weakens ordinary Halloween hostiles within 10 blocks. It protects nearby players from scripted boss root bursts, but not from boss melee or seed projectiles. Place it by hand to register the protection.
- Harvest Sigil: combines the major monster materials into the Pumpkin King summoning item.
The crafting board below shows the exact 3×3 ingredient positions and the diagonal ritual layout.
🕯️ A survival plan for the haunted harvest
- Scout before nightfall. Locate the village and keep an escape route open.
- Listen before you rush in. Howls, whispers, laughter and the stalking cue help establish which threat is nearby.
- Collect the drops. Fangs, fragments, straw and Ectoplasm unlock the main recipes.
- Prepare your equipment. Moon Candy helps with visibility; the Moonfang Blade slows Halloween hostiles; a hand-placed Harvest Ward helps defend an area.
- Choose your boss arena. Leave room to move away from root warnings and dodge the seed projectiles.
Defending the village is part of the experience. Ordinary doors are not a complete defense: creatures are configured to navigate through and open wooden doors. Iron doors, walls and terrain can obstruct entry.

🛠️ Installation and test commands
- Import the .mcaddon into Minecraft Bedrock.
- Activate both its behavior pack and resource pack.
- Use Normal or Hard difficulty. Test predator aggression in Survival.
- Enable cheats for the commands below and the command-driven fog.
Test raids near a group of at least three vanilla villagers. The hut command needs suitable flat, empty natural ground. Manual summoning bypasses the creatures' natural encounter conditions.
🌍 Languages and visual theme
Item and creature names are included in English, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish. The resource pack adds the crimson moon theme, custom creature skins, selected emissive eye layers and crisp inventory icons. Place it above packs that replace the same entity or moon textures.
📌 Alpha release information
Current version: 0.3.2 Alpha. Target: Minecraft Bedrock Windows 1.26.52. The packs do not request Beta API toggles.
Static asset checks and simulated gameplay tests passed. Pack import, real gameplay, animation blending, sound balance and emissive rendering still require testing inside Minecraft. The illustrated guide images are promotional illustrations, not gameplay screenshots.
Jason is fan content. This project is not an official Minecraft or Friday the 13th product. Recorded-audio credits and licenses are included in the project and resource pack.
When the harvest turns haunted, will you defend the village—or run?

- Playing on a Realm or server? Everyone needs the same packs, and the host has to enable them.
- Starting a new world? Choose its seed first: the Seed Map shows villages, structures and biomes near spawn for any Bedrock seed.
