How to use the Amethyst Geode Finder
Amethyst geodes generate underground between Y −58 and Y 30 with a 1/24 chance per chunk. The map marks candidate chunks; listen for amethyst chimes as you dig.
- Type or paste your seed in the seed box (numbers and text seeds both work), then pick your edition and version.
- Amethyst geodes are marked on the map automatically. Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, and hover an icon to see its coordinates.
- Click an icon to copy the coordinates or a ready-made /tp command, and tick "Completed" to keep track of the ones you have visited.
- Use the "Nearest" list in the sidebar to jump straight to the closest ones to spawn or to any X/Z you enter.
Questions
Why is the geode finder approximate?
Geode placement depends on a per-chunk random check plus a terrain test that can cancel the geode (for example, in oceans or when the geode would intersect other features).
Can I move budding amethyst?
No — budding amethyst breaks even with Silk Touch. Build your farm around the geode's location instead.
