How to use the Minecraft Seed Map

Interactive Minecraft seed map for Java and Bedrock: biomes, villages, strongholds, slime chunks and every structure on one map. Enter a seed and explore.

  1. Enter your seed (number or text) and choose the edition, version and dimension. Press Random for a new seed or load a Java level.dat / world zip.
  2. Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom. Hover for the biome under the cursor and click a structure icon for coordinates, a /tp command and a Completed checkbox.
  3. Toggle features in the sidebar, highlight a biome, switch on chunk / region grids, slime chunks, spawn chunks and the world border.
  4. Right-click (long-press on touch) to drop a marker. Copy a link to share the exact view, or download the map as a PNG.

Questions

Does the seed map work for Bedrock Edition?

Yes for biomes (1.18+ shares the Overworld generator with Java) and slime chunks. Structures whose Bedrock placement is not yet implemented exactly are marked 'Java only' and hidden on the Bedrock map instead of showing wrong positions.

Why does the map show biomes rather than terrain?

It renders the biome map the game uses to decide what generates — the same data that structure and biome finders rely on — and it is fast enough to compute in your browser.

Is my seed sent to a server?

No. All world generation runs in your browser via WebAssembly (cubiomes). Markers and completed structures are stored locally in your browser.
